I recognize those that came before, thanks to you I have a seat at this table! Blessed to be here and renewed for the work that still has to be done! Amen.

 

During the CHM National meeting, Jose (President Elect) did a calling of our “ancestors” both on a personal and religious level as part of his sermon. And during it he called out names of people that I personally may not know, but through whose sacrifice we each still have a “seat at the table”. It was a powerful sermon and litany of names. I for one was overjoyed to recognize those that came before, that though they aren’t part of my traditional family are part of my faith family.
