I want to say thank you for yesterday.

Thank you for listening to my truth without wearing any of your hats.  It meant everything to me…  thank you for hearing my truths and putting your hat back on to tell me that you heard me, even with the hats on.  And thank you for not sharing your own hurts while you listened to mine (I know you have them, we all do).

Last night I had the first good night sleep I have had in a few years, I woke up hearing Abuela laughing with me almost like she also was grateful that I got that off my chest.  Thank you from a long line of women and mujeres who needed to be heard on behalf of us, I give you thanks.
