God’s Vision: Receive It
Service of Worship (Saturday, June 29, 2013)

This is when I learned (and I mean LEARNED) what it takes and means to be in silent meditation…
First thing in the morning we did a quick (as in hyper warp speed) prep for service. By now we have jokingly changed our name from WAT (Worship Advisory Team) to SWAT (Synod Worship Advisory Team: Capable of resolving issues and dealing with potential emergencies). As we listen to the band and converse about the energies left over from Friday Night we realize that we are all still on a spiritual high (Hyper Warp Speed) and as we talk it out, we joke that we should run laps!
I am o-pen-ing. I am o-pen-ing. My heart is read-y to re-ceive.
Yeah, it turns out that God always has a plan (and so does Kara): on this day we learned that SWAT also means, ready to dance and shimmy our energies off! The dancers led us through a song of stretching and energy filtering to enable us to reach into our innermost beings for that quiet, still space where we could be in silent meditation!
I let go of the past, I withdraw my grasping hand from the future, and in the great silence of this moment, I alertly rest my soul.
